Work and Study

Working while you travel means you'll meet more of the locals, have fun with fellow travellers, and get to see parts of Australia that you might not have known existed!!! From fruit picking in the Riverlands and working in Vineyards of the Barossa to serving latte's on Adelaide's coffee strip - you'll agree there's certainly worse ways to earn a crust!

Job opportunities are increasing as more employers are becoming aware of the skills and desires of working travellers. Horticultural and harvest work is the most available, with labouring, legal secretary, nursing, factory and hospitality work available year round. Most hostels in Adelaide will have a notice board displaying jobs and will offer some assistance but be prepared to do most leg-work yourself.
