Fleurieu Peninsula

Just a stone's throw from Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula is packed with heaps to see and do. Check out Victor Habour - a favourite to South Australian holiday makers with great swimming beaches and a quaint resort town atmosphere. You can cross the causeway to Granite Island and check out the local colony of little penguins….all up close and personal without the hoards of tourists!!! If you're around between June and October you may even catch a glimps of the Southern Right Whales enjoying the waters off the coast.

If you don't mind the odd drop of good wine - then head to the McLaren Vale - only an hour from Adelaide where you'll find almost fifty cellar doors to visit. Combine this with the unreal restaurants and cafes in the region that pride themselves on their expert combination of food and wine and you've got one ripper of a day.
